2023 Federal NDP Convention

The Pontiac NDP was in Hamilton from October 13-15 for the 2023 NDP Federal Convention. Our president Catherine Emond and our youth delegate Annie Yeo had a wonderful time voting on important resolutions, listening to inspiring speakers and connecting with New Democrats from all over the country!

NDP members drew a line in the sand by passing an emergency resolution that says the party should withdraw its support if the Liberals do not commit to "a universal, comprehensive and entirely public Pharmacare program.”

Prior to the convention, our president was pleased to receive a phone call from NDP leader, Jagmeet Singh to discuss the Pontiac’s priorities and concerns.
